When you surrender your life to Jesus, how can you know that what you have done is real, personally and spiritually. The Bible gives us multiple ways we can confirm that Jesus meant what He said, and that our decision is much more than an emotional moment—it is life- and after-life-changing.

What God promises. The Bible says when we trust Jesus and surrender our lives to Him that we have eternal life (1 John 5:11-13, John 3:16), we have forgiveness for all of our sins (Colossians 2:13, 1 John 1:9), and we become Sons of God (Galatians 3:26, John 1:12)

What God says about us. Our decision is a fact, not a feeling (Colossians 2:6), we have an inner witness (1 John 4:13, Romans 8:16) and we are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17)

What we have in Christ. Now that Jesus lives inside you, you will begin to hunger for Bible study (1 Peter 2:2) and have a desire for holy living (1 John 2:3). Your love for others will grow (1 John 3:14) and your desire to tell others about Jesus will take hold (Acts 4:20)
